Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-2400 serie was developed for clear and reliable vehicle marking. This LED marker light with amber lens combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. Its dual mounting option allows both flush mounting and surface mounting, offering flexibility within various applications for semi-trailers, commercial vehicles and semi-trailers. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, complemented by a rubber mounting base, which contributes to the product's robustness. The marker light is suitable for voltages between 12-24 V and comes with an open wire end and 15 cm cable. The compactly designed unit measures 84.2 x 27.7 x 12.8 mm. The MV-2400 meets the certifications CE, ECE R10 and ECE R91 and has an IP value indicating that the product is waterproof. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R7 is the baseline certification for every lamp that simply makes a vehicle visible: front and rear position lamps, stop lamps, and end-outline marker lamps. It is the most-cited regulation on product spec-sheets because most lamps on most trucks fall under it.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
