Omschrijving

The ECCO ESG 400 R65 Ecco serie is an LED beacon designed for signalling applications on vehicles within the voltage range of 12-24 V. Thanks to the magnetic mounting and the 250 cm long cable with cigarette lighter connector, this light can be quickly and easily temporarily attached. The housing and lens are both made of polycarbonate. This makes the construction shockproof and resistant to external influences. This LED beacon has a flash pattern that is visible all around, in 360 degrees. The product is certified according to CE, ECE R10 and ECE R65 guidelines and has a protection rating of IP65, meaning it is protected against dust and splash water. The flashing light is suitable for various vehicle types within both commercial and industrial environments. ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
