This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-2400 serie is suitable for use on 12-24V vehicles. Combining side marker light and reflector, it contributes to both vehicle visibility and safety. The housing is made of polycarbonate and rubber, providing protection against mechanical influences. The lens is made of polycarbonate and available in light colours amber and white. The marker light can be surface-mounted or surface-mounted and features a 15 cm cable with open wire end. With dimensions of 84.2 x 27.7 x 12.8 mm, the unit is compact and suitable for various vehicle types. The marker light meets the approval marks CE, ECE R10, ECE R7 and ECE R91, underlining compliance with European directives. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
