This LED side marker light from Horpol s MB-6000 serie is designed for mounting on the left side of vehicles. The light features a rubber housing and has an IP value of WATERPROOF. Thanks to its wide voltage range of 12-24V, the light is suitable for both light and heavy commercial vehicles. With a dimensions of 54.1 x 50 x 111.5 mm and a 60 cm long connection cable with open wire end, mounting is flexibly possible in various applications. The light combines two functions: rear marker light and side marker light. These functions are displayed in red, white and amber colours, distributed across the housing. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
