The Horpol MB-1020 serie includes LED side marker lights suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. The model MB-1020WM comes with a 500cm cable and has a housing made of high-impact polycarbonate, which contributes to its long-lasting usability in a variety of conditions. Thanks to its IP68 rating, this LED side marker light is fully dust- and waterproof, suitable for applications on trucks, semi-trailers and other commercial vehicles. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
